Tax-Season Wrap-Up
We wanted to start out this week by letting our clients and team members know how grateful we are to all of you. This tax season has wrapped up with Jennifer L. Climo, CPA PC filing over 200 individual tax returns and 13 trust returns. Once again, all tax returns where the information was available to us were completed and e-filed.

None of this would be possible without our outstanding tax team: 7 tax preparers, our new Enrolled Agent, Evan Marquis, CFP®, EA who reviewed and issued returns and our new Tax Associate, Janet Lussier, who handled the majority of client correspondence and made sure the returns were successfully e-filed. We also received overwhelmingly positive feedback about our new tax portal, Stanford Tax, which we adopted this year to make document gathering easier for clients and more efficient for our preparers. We will continue to look for ways to improve that experience for clients.

As you may know, deep tax knowledge is one of the things that sets Milestone apart. There is no better continuing education than tax season itself – working through hundreds of real returns each spring sharpens our entire team’s skills and makes all of us better advisors and resources for you.

Past Webinar: Insurance in 2026
On April 8th we hosted From Premiums to Prevention: Trends Driving Insurance in 2026, a webinar covering the changes affecting home and auto insurance this year and what they might mean for your coverage decisions. If you missed it, you can watch the video here.

Another CFP® professional!
We are thrilled to announce that Planning Associate Cameron Barker earned his CFP® certification this month. Cameron is the fourth CFP® professional Milestone has hired, trained and developed over the past five years. Three of these team members joined us straight out of college, and one was a career changer. Two of these planners came up through our intern program.

The CFP® designation is a serious achievement; candidates typically complete 6-12 months of coursework, followed by another 3-5 months of dedicated exam preparation, before sitting for a rigorous technical exam covering financial planning, tax, investments, estate planning and more. We are proud of our team and are excited to continue developing talent in financial planning and tax, to be able to help more clients like you.

Taxes and financial planning are complex, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. A financial advisor can help you stay informed about tax law changes, optimize your savings and investments, and avoid costly mistakes. If you need tailored guidance, our team is here to help. Talk to an advisor or call (603) 589-8010 to integrate tax planning into your comprehensive financial strategy.
